Day 9 12st 5lb - 6 pounds down
OK so I've put up one pound since starting to eat veg... dissapointed that I haven't shifted a pound or two in the past week but I guess I'm also glad that I haven't put a load on.
Loving having veg and salad and I must admit that I did have a few jellies here and there for a few days... I just couldn't help myself.
My sis-in-law's little two week old was ambulanced into hosp after needing CPR from her mom and the ambulance crew.. so scary and sad. Turns out it is pneumonia and finally four days later she is stable and off her breathing tube and breathing on her own.. thank God. Please let the improvements continue.
Hopefully Ill have more weight loss to report soon...

7 pounds down!
Day 6 - 12st 4lb 4oz - HALF A STONE DOWN!
I can't believe it! Half a stone down in just five days! LEGEND! I feel great, have loads of energy but I'm still craving chocolate and carbs.
Oat bran however is not my friend! I am supposed to be eating a tablespoon a day made into a pancake with an egg and a tablespoon of fromage frais... GAG central. I just couldn't handle the texture at all. I'll give it another bash but I'm not sure I can. I need to increase my water intake as I know I'm not having enough at all.
Tried to get rid of toddlers dodi last night... after an hour and a half of whinging I caved and she is allowed just two dodi's and they have to stay in her bed at all times. Just couldn't put up with the sleepless nights as baby is still waking in the middle of the night... It will come eventually!
Anyway, I now get to add in vegetables to the diet which makes me so excited! Who would have thought I'd be so excited over green beans and mushrooms!!!
Onwards and upwards!

Boot Camp
Day 3 - 12st 6lb 2oz - Lost 5 pounds
On my 3rd day of pure protein out of 7..... very happy with results on the scales so far so I am going to keep on truckin!
I've signed up for Boot Camp.. what am I letting myself in for? I am just so unfit but I gess that's the point! It starts the end of the month and Hubby said he'd pay to see me being put through the mill! You can be guaranteed that it will be lashing rain for the first day too! Also signing up for a spin and sculpt class every Thursday night - I'll probably be dying tomorrow!
I have never felt hungry but I have felt deprived... I am used to snacking from the sweetie press and fridge on an hourly basis and this is a hard habit to break. I miss chocolate so much but a skinny me will be worth it. It's also difficult to be preparing food for my family and not being able to eat it... Hubby had chicken breast, fried rice and garlic bread for dinner last night while I had a chicken breast and some prawns... not so bad, I hear you say, well, it isn't but I was watching every bite he took out of the garlic bread!
I'm looking forward to being able to introduce vegetables which comes on day 7. It will make it so much easier as I can have a salad for lunch and my plate will look much more interesting and full aswell!
Booked a kiddie-free holiday to Spain in June last night with Hubby for my sis-in-law's wedding. Four whole days without the children... I cannot wait! Hubby and I will not know ourselves!

One day down
Day 1. 12st 11lb 2oz (ouch!)
Hard boiled egg for breakfast, 0% yogurt for a snack, beef for lunch, steak and prawns for dinner with a side of gurkins. This is going to be tough!
Went for a walk with baby for an hour and a half and I swear I could smell freshly baked cookies for an hour... the sweet, sweet smell followed me! I was in hell!
I'm just so used to eating what I want when I want.. that's what got me into this mess in the first place! It WILL be worth it!
On a positive note I really enjoyed getting out into the countryside for a walk and hubby said I looked skinnier already! Bless!
I have baby and toddler all day tomorrow (toddler was in creche today) and I'm not sure how I explain that I can't eat sausage rolls with her for her lunch, and boy will I be tempted...mmmmmm sausage rolls with ketchup... I feel like Homer Simpson!

A new begining


I am sure I am one of many out there that has decided it is time to loose some weight.
I am a first time blogger and a 34 year old mother of two children - my daughter is 3 and my son is 6 months. I live in Wicklow, Ireland and am currently in my last few weeks of maternity leave. I will go back to work on 1st Feb working a three-day a week :(
I need to loose over two stone in order for me to be happy in my own skin. It just makes life so much easier... shopping for clothes for one would be a joy if I were a size 10 or even a 12!
I am following the Dukan Diet http://www.dukandiet.co.uk/ and will keep you posted on my successes and failures.
I am a motivated person. Once I put my mind to something I get it done. I am all or nothing though which makes it tough to maintain.
I'm going to be grave and post photos of myself (GOD I look 6 months pregnant!!) but not so brave as to include my face in the photos! Maybe once I've lost some weight i might.
